Brambati makes bold claim regarding Donnarumma renewal: “Raiola wants to convince him not to sign”

Gianluigi Donnarumma would sign a renewal with AC Milan right now if he could, but his agent is stopping him from doing so, it is claimed.

As the weeks tick by Milan find themselves in a more and more difficult situation as Donnarumma’s deal now has less than six months left to run and he is one of the best young talents in world football, meaning the risk of losing him becomes greater with each passing day.

The latest regarding Donnarumma suggests that things are not exactly a walk in the park, as La Gazzetta dello Sport claim that Mino Raiola, his agent, wants €10m net per year to renew because he believes that Gigio deserves to be one of the highest paid goalkeepers in the world.

Milan have instead offered a contract until 2026 worth €7.5m net per season and at the moment this figure does not satisfy Raiola, who wants a one or two-year extension and a release clause.

Former player, current pundit and agent Massimo Brambati spoke to the microphones of Tutto Mercato Web Radio, and revealed something interesting.

“Gigio would sign immediately, he wants to stay at Milan, . The fight is between the player and his agent and not between the player and the club,” he said (via MilanLive).
