Calhanoglu addresses future amid rumours of AC Milan exit

Midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu has admitted that he lets his agent take care of his future amid links with an AC Milan exit.

Wednesday’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews.it) stated that fellow Serie A side Torino are interested in Calhanoglu, and this was backed up by Calciomercato.com.

Il Corriere dello Sport (via MN24) then stated later on Thursday that the talks between Milan and Torino for Calhanoglu are ‘intensifying more and more’.

Interviewed by Sky Sport 24, the Turkey international addressed speculation surrounding his future at the club, as well as playing in Italy.

“I don’t know anything. All the journalists talk about the market, my agent takes care of it,” he said, via MilanNews.it.

“I look only at work, at the new coach, at a new role. To do things right, we have to work and it takes time.”

On Serie A, he added: “It is a great league, Serie A is a strong championship.”

“We work game by game, first we think of ourselves then the rest.”

Milan signed five players for a combined €90million this summer, namely Theo Hernandez, Rade Krunic, Rafael Leao, Ismael Bennacer and Leo Duarte.

Calhanoglu has revealed that they have settled in well and that the signs are promising for the future.

“I like them all, they are good guys with a great character and a big heart. I like how they got there.

“It is normal that it takes time, but we are on the right track.”
