The English centre-back has quickly adapted to Italian football and Stefano Pioli’s system, even benching the Rossoneri’s captain Alessio Romagnoli. It’s clear, therefore, that he has the qualities to become a very good player.
Even though it’s still early, there have already been some debates regarding the €28m buy-out clause in his contract and whether Milan should exercise it. On Twitter, we asked if the Rossoneri should indeed sign him for that price.
Most of the answers were the same, with a simple ‘yes’, while one wrote ‘can’t find a better deal’ and others ‘good business’. The fans are already in love with the player, it seems, and you can certainly understand why.
