CorSera: Club Brugge unmoved by De Ketelaere’s will – an effort is needed by both sides

AC Milan remain confident that they can secure the signing of Charles De Ketelaere and definitively bridge the gap with Club Brugge.

This morning’s edition of Corriere della Sera (via MilanNews) reports that the De Ketelaere negotiations have turned into a real soap opera. Milan and Club Brugge for now remain firm in their positions: the Rossoneri do not intend to go above the €32-33m offered with the Belgian club asking for €35-36m.

Brugge are so firm that they are not allowing themselves to be conditioned by the will of the player, who has pushed for a move to join the Rossoneri for some time. However, the distance is so minimal that it would be really surprising if this deal were to fall apart, the paper adds.

To break the deadlock and get to the long-awaited white smoke, a bit of effort on the part of both clubs is needed. Milan are in the meantime increasing their leverage by lining up a deal for Hakim Ziyech with Chelsea as an alternative target.
