CM: Calhanoglu open about desire for Galatasaray move but Milan have clear plans

AC Milan have no intentions of letting Hakan Calhanoglu leave despite the midfielder’s admission he wants to play for Galatasaray one day.

Speaking to BeIN Sports, the Turkey international declared: “Galatasaray? It is a passion that comes from my father, from my family, to be a Galatasaray fan. Hagi? In a club like Galatasaray, live the pride of number 10 with that glorious jersey is special. I hope one day I will be like him. I hope it will happen, why not?”

According to Calciomercato.com, Galatasaray tried to sign him in January but they got nowhere with their €6million offer, and now the Rossoneri are working to renew his contract which expires in 2021.

The former Hamburg and Bayer Leverkusen playmaker has admirers in Germany with Ralf Rangnick – the prospective next Milan boss – having especially wanted him at RB Leipzig.

For this reason, it seems that Milan will not sell this summer, as Rangnick will want the chance to work with a player he so strongly desired previously.
