Calciomercato.com write how Inter have won five derbies in a row, the most recent one being a 5-1 hammering this season, while they are top of the table and heading for the Champions League knockout stages. Milan are third, and could crash out of Europe altogether tomorrow night.
Looking at Transfermarkt data, it is clear that the Nerazzurri are more star-laden because the value of the top 10 players in their squad is equal to €508m, while Stefano Pioli’s ten protagonists are stuck at €398m.
Inter have a €100m man in Lautaro Martinez who leads their squad in terms of individual value, while the top for Milan is Leao at €90m.
In 10th place for the Rossoneri is Davide Calabria at €20m, with Davy Klaasen in the equivalent position for Simone Inzaghi’s men.
The real discrepancy comes when looking at players valued at €40m or more, with Inter having seven: Pavard, Thuram, Calhanoglu, Dimarco, Bastoni, Barella and of course Lautaro. Milan have just four: Tomori, Maignan, Theo and Leao.
