CM: €57m PSG striker Icardi offered to Milan – the latest as Maldini and Massara ponder

Mauro Icardi wants to leave PSG and return to Italy with AC Milan pondering the opportunity, according to a report.

Calciomercato.com writes how the Argentine striker has already communicated his decision to PSG and a farewell is getting closer and closer. Despite scoring 32 goals in 60 games, Icardi does not feel like a protagonist in Mauricio Pochettino’s and their sporting director Leonardo is ready to listen to any offers because he would get rid of a big salary.

Wanda Nara and her entourage are already at work to try to bring Icardi back to Italy and there have been talks with Juventus. Fabio Paratici is an admirer of the 28-year-old and it was he who brought him to Italy in 2011 when he was at Sampdoria. However, any pursuit remains on hold until Juve’s future at managerial level is clear.

The Roma option remains a possibility as the capital club have every intention of giving a top centre-forward to new coach Jose Mourinho. However, the big news of the last few hours concerns Milan as Icardi has been offered to the Rossoneri through intermediaries.

Wanda Nara – his wife and agent – is pushing for this solution as it would give her and her husband the opportunity to return to live permanently in Milan. There are doubts though, such as the €57m paid last year by PSG to Inter to sign him and the €9m net salary received by the Argentine. Massara and Maldini have taken note of this possibility, and the parties should update themselves in a few weeks to discuss further.
