CM: How Milan beat domestic rivals to signing of Italy U21 international

AC Milan have won the race to sign Filippo Terracciano from Hellas Verona, according to reports, and they beat competition from some of their domestic rivals.

After the return of Matteo Gabbia to bolster the centre-back position, Calciomercato.com report that Milan have secured their second addition of the January transfer window as they have struck a deal for Terracciano.

The Rossoneri have in fact reached an agreement with Hellas Verona for the permanent signing of the Italian talent, who has been a starter for them for around a year and a half and is making a name for himself at the age of 20.

The final figure of the transfer will be €4.5m plus €1 in bonuses, with the verbal agreement between the clubs now sealed, as well as that with the player too. He will sign a contract until 2028, and despite the many interested clubs he expressed his preference for Stefano Pioli’s team.

The competition from Juventus and Fiorentina above all has been overcome, and the meetings of the last few days at Casa Milan with the Verona directors and the player’s representatives ended up being decisive.

Terracciano should therefore arrive in the city in the coming days to undergo his medical and sign his contract.
