CM: How Milan beat domestic rivals to signing of Italy U21 international

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have won the race to sign Filippo Terracciano from Hellas Verona, according to reports, and they beat competition from some of their domestic rivals.

After the return of Matteo Gabbia to bolster the centre-back position, Calciomercato.com report that Milan have secured their second addition of the January transfer window as they have struck a deal for Terracciano.

The Rossoneri have in fact reached an agreement with Hellas Verona for the permanent signing of the Italian talent, who has been a starter for them for around a year and a half and is making a name for himself at the age of 20.

The final figure of the transfer will be €4.5m plus €1 in bonuses, with the verbal agreement between the clubs now sealed, as well as that with the player too. He will sign a contract until 2028, and despite the many interested clubs he expressed his preference for Stefano Pioli’s team.

The competition from Juventus and Fiorentina above all has been overcome, and the meetings of the last few days at Casa Milan with the Verona directors and the player’s representatives ended up being decisive.

Terracciano should therefore arrive in the city in the coming days to undergo his medical and sign his contract.

  1. I think it’s because we guaranteed him playing time. There was other competition for sure. Juve is where young players go to end their careers lol

      1. Well that explains a lot. Otherwise this guy looks average in terms of skills, he has some grit tho. I would have prefered if we bought Jimenez from Real, he is younger and already looks like a much more compleate RB.

        1. I think they have intention to sign Jimenez but will probably try and renegotiate the terms to eliminate Real’s buyback clause. Maybe offer them more than agreed 5 millions for him. Anyway, Florenzi is not getting younger and Kalulu could well be sold. So having Jimenez and Terracciano as backups doesn’t hurt.

  2. So lets:
    – sign up & promote Jimenez
    – promote Simic
    – sign Terracciano
    – Sell Krunic
    – buy Samuele Ricci
    – Sign Jhon Duran

Our defense will be in good shape:

    —Jimenez—-Thiaw—Tomori—-Theo–

    Backed up by:

    —Calabria—-Kalulu–Simic–Terracciano–

    Plus: Florenzi, Kjaer, Pelegrino, Gabbia

Our midfield will be in good shape:

    ——————–Ruben———————-
    ——-Bennacer——–Reijnders———

    backed up by:

    ——————–Adli—————–
    ——-Musah————–Ricci———

    Plus: Pobega

Our Attack will be in good shape:

    —————–Giroud—————-
    -Leao————————-Pulisic-

    backed up by:

    —————–Jovic—————-
    -Okafor—————–Chucky-

    Plus:
    – Jhon Duran
    – Romero
    – Chaka Traore

  3. Duran is a diving piece of crap, I wouldn’t want him anywhere near the club and Villa aren’t going to sell him cheaply. You don’t win titles with Florenzi, Kjaer, Pelegrino, Gabbia as back-ups. They’re not good enough. I’m not sure how you missed Barteshagi.

Adli is too slow and Musah has the tactical intelligence of a peanut. Romero is the latest Argentinian midget going nowhere. Our Primavera is loaded with better talent. Cuenca and Eletu are ready and Scotti has been off the charts this season. He’s the brightest prospect of them all.

    1. Didn’t they win Scudetto with Florenzi, Kjaer and Gabbia as backups? And what do we know about Bartesaghi really? He didn’t have proper chance to show himself yet did he?

      Agree on Musah.

    2. Let’s be fair to Musah, he is 20! He has shown great effort, dynamism and skill.
He has been played all over the pitch as he runs more than anyone else.
He has the raw materials, he just needs consistency of position and time.
Tactical intelligence is something that is taught and learned, so he has time to work on that.
His attitude is great and he has lots of natural talent. I would have no concerns about him developing well.

      p. s I’m not American should u think I’m biased
