CM: Maldini on the hunt for a new centre-back – Torino star wanted and Everton man offered

AC Milan have reportedly started looking for a new centre-back so as not to be caught unprepared given the uncertainty the department faces.

Calciomercato.com reports that Milan are not in a real negotiation with Alessio Romagnoli over the renewal of his contract, which expires next June, and that is why the Rossoneri management have started looking for a new profile that could be a credible alternative to Fikayo Tomori and Simon Kjaer.

Directors Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara are evaluating several players, especially playing in France and Belgium, where they have recently secured players in other roles like Yacine Adli, Pierre Kalulu and Fode Ballo-Touré.

However, Torino centre-back Bremer is in the Rossoneri’s sights too given his contract is set to expire in 2023 and at the moment there is no agreement for an extension with president Urbano Cairo, though Juventus, Inter and Liverpool provide competition.

There is plenty of time for the management to find the right man, but Everton centre-back Yerry Mina was offered to Milan recently, though the Colombian currently has salary demands and a commission request from his agent that are simply too high at the moment.
