CM: Milan awaiting next move from Alaves after rejecting first bid for full-back

LaLiga side Deportivo Alaves have made a concrete attempt to try and sign AC Milan defender Diego Laxalt, according to a report.

It is no secret that Milan are willing to listen to offers for Laxalt who does not appear to be part of Stefano Pioli’s plans despite being recalled from his loan at Torino early back in January.

According to Calciomercato.com, Alaves will try their luck again in signing the Uruguay international after they failed with an attempt in the winter. The Basque club have had direct contacts with Milan in recent days to try to strike up a negotiation.

The outlet adds that Milan value Laxalt at around €10million, a figure considered too high for the Spaniards who have countered with a very specific offer: a paid loan with option to buy.

This is, however, a formula that does not convince Maldini and Massara, who instead want to sell the former Genoa man outright. In addition, the player no longer wants to leave on a temporary basis either, so now Milan are waiting for Alaves’ next move.
