CM: Milan rivalling Inter and Juve for €25m Danish sensation seen as potential Leao replacement

AC Milan have a concrete interest in signing Mikkel Damsgaard from Sampdoria but face strong competition, according to a report.

Damsgaard was among the players who most shone in the last season with Sampdoria, and at the European Championships with Denmark he is continuing his excellent form, scoring a fundamental goal against Russia after a great performance against Belgium.

Calciomercato.com writes how he arrived in Genoa from Nordsjælland for €6.5m and now the price of the 20-year-old is around €25m, with at least three clubs in England ready to try and snatch him from Samp.

Inter are also interested but could probably only afford him after the sale of Achraf Hakimi, while Juventus have also been following Damsgaard for several months and have had more than one exploratory discussion with Massimo Ferrero.

There are no ongoing negotiations or discussions, but Massara and Maldini are making in-depth evaluations on the player too, who they like very much. If Leão were to leave – and he is in the sights of Everton and Borussia Dortmund – an attempt cannot be ruled out.
