CM: Milan to announce second summer signing this week – €27m fee plus five-year deal ready

AC Milan are closing in on being able to formally announce their second signing of the summer transfer window, according to a report.

Calciomercato.com writes how after the arrival of Mike Maignan from Lille it is expected that Fikayo Tomori’s official signing from Chelsea will follow this week. By Friday the return of the English centre-back will be formalised after a brilliant second half of the season in which he helped the Rossoneri finish second.

The Rossoneri management have now reached a definitive agreement with Chelsea over the permanent of the 23-year-old, who will will sign a five-year contract with Milan who will pay €27m to Chelsea, in addition to the €1m already paid for the six-month loan.

First Maignan and Tomori, now a midfielder and a striker will arrive as directors Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara are hard at work to build the best squad for Pioli ahead of the 2021-22 campaign.
