With Zlatan Ibrahimovic potentially ready to retire and Divock Origi not entirely convincing, Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara know that a new centre-forward is needed to be able to alternative with Olivier Giroud.
The management are evaluating various profiles, and Wahi is on their list. The 20-year-old can also play as a winger and he came through the youth academy at Montpellier, though this season he has exploded with the senior team amassing 13 goals and 5 assists in 29 games.
He has five goals and three assists in the last two months which shows that he is getting even better, and a meeting between Milan and the player’s entourage is scheduled for the next few days.
Wahi has a contract with Montpellier expiring in June 2025, his asking price is around €25-30m and he is also admired by Ligue 1 and Bundesliga clubs, so there is competition for Milan.
