CM: Moncada fully convinced by Veliz but there is competition from Serie A

More and more sources are continuing to confirm the news that AC Milan have a concrete interest in signing Alejo Veliz from Rosario Central.

According to Calciomercato.com, Milan’s scouting work has led to the identification of a profile considered very interesting for the future and that is the 19-year-old Veliz, of Rosario Central and the Argentina U20 national team.

He scored three goals in four games at the recent U20 World Cup where he played alongside Luka Romero, and he is considered one of the strikers with the greatest potential in all of South America.

He is ‘phenomenal’ in aerial play, has great physique and good technique which is enhanced also thanks to an ability to be found in the right place at the right time.

However, Veliz is a target for Torino too and they will meet his agent – who arrived in Italy yesterday – in the next few hours. Milan have not yet taken concrete steps because they first have to sell Ante Rebic and Divock Origi, as well as decide Lorenzo Colombo’s future.

Despite this, an attempt in the next few weeks cannot be ruled out because Geoffrey Moncada likes Alejo a lot. Rosario Central want €14m and are waiting for offers, knowing through intermediaries that teams in Europe are keen.
