CM: Primavera star sacrificed as Milan only have percentage on future resale

Milan were able to get a discount on the permanent signing of Sandro Tonali, who arrived on an initial loan deal from Brescia last summer. However, it meant they had to sacrifice Primavera star Giacomo Olzer.

In order to lower the total amount from €35m to €25m for the signing of Tonali from Brescia, effectively removing the bonuses of the deal, the Rossoneri had to send Olzer the other way. A bold move, considering the 20-year-old’s success recently.

In 18 games for the Primavera side this season, he has scored ten goals and assisted one as well. At first, it was reported that Milan would have a buy-back clause but Calciomercato.com are now claiming that it’s just a % on a future resale.

Of course, depending on how high the % is, the Rossoneri could sign Olzer for a discounted price if they really want him back. That being said, for now anyway, the youngster was sacrificed to lower the price tag of Tonali.
