CM: Real Madrid defender set for €50m Man Utd move – Milan man on seven-man replacement list

Real Madrid are on the hunt for Raphael Varane’s replacement and there is a suggestion that Alessio Romangoli may be a target, a report claims.

Calciomercato.com confirms the indiscretions currently doing the rounds as Varane is ready to say goodbye to Real Madrid after ten years. The negotiation with Manchester United is proceeding quickly and an agreement between the two clubs has been reached at €50m plus bonuses.

With just Eder Militao and Nacho Fernandez as real options for Carlo Ancelotti and Real Madrid plus the more unknown duo of Jesus Vallejo and Victor Chust, Florentino Perez knows that a replacement is needed.

Several names are mentioned in the report such as Jules Koundé of Sevilla, Pau Torres of Villarreal and Aymeric Laporte of Manchester City. They could also shop in Italy though, with Inter duo Stefan de Vrij and Milan Skriniar of Inter mentioned, plus Kalidou Koulibaly of Napoli and finally Alessio Romagnoli of Milan, whose deal expires in 2022.
