CM: Signing of Scamacca or Thuram doesn’t exclude arrival of Salzburg star

AC Milan are looking for a striker ahead of next season and their top targets are Gianluca Scamacca and Marcus Thuram. One of these should arrive, but this doesn’t rule out the signing of Noah Okafor.

Okafor has been linked with Milan for quite some time, bagging a goal against them earlier in the season in the Champions League. His contract will expire next year and Salzburg could thus be forced to sell him this summer.

According to Calciomercato.com, Scamacca and Thuram are indeed the top targets for the attack, with the latter slightly ahead. However, the arrival of one of these will not exclude the signing of Okafor, who can play in many roles.

The Swiss international has a price tag of €20-25m, per the report, and he wants to join the Rossoneri. Stefano Pioli believes that Okafor could be a very useful player for his versatility, offering more solutions which are always needed during a full season.

It should be noted that Ante Rebic is destined to leave, potentially Divock Origi as well, and Okafor’s arrival would make a lot of sense in that aspect.
