CM: Staff changes and work on Milanello – the ideas to solve Milan’s injury problem

The concern at Milan is growing more and more due to the injury problem and despite the reassurances from Stefano Pioli that things are being worked on, there are no positive results yet.

Calciomercato.com point out that almost all of the problems are muscular, a sign that something is unfortunately wrong with the way that Milan are preparing for the various competitions they are involved in. The Rossoneri do play a lot of games, but compared to their rivals – who play as many if not more – their problems are disproportional.

There are many ideas that the club are thinking of to fix the issues. The camps can be divided into the coaching staff led by Stefano Pioli on one side and the medical staff who of course treat injuries and manage rehabilitation.

In the immediate future, the insertion of a new physiotherapist figure is likely, who would be added to those already present in the workforce rather than replacing anyone.

However, a change of athletic trainer will inevitably also depend on the choice made at the end of the season regarding the head coach, because the current head is Matteo Osti who is one of Pioli’s most long-standing collaborators.

There is a possibility that the club could ‘renovate’ the Milanello training centre during the summer break and finally there is also the evaluation of the need to better structure the overseas summer tours which affect preparations.
