CM: The two crucial factors that are pushing Simic towards leaving Milan

Jan-Carlo Simic could well be heading for the exit door because he believes he deserves more than what AC Milan can offer him, a report claims.

As Calciomercato.com report, Simic has a strong personality and this only grew when he scored on his debut at San Siro in Serie A against Monza. He became more and more a part of the first team dressing room and these only raised his hopes for the future.

The renewal of Simic’s contract, expiring in 2025, seemed to be a mere formality last January but then it became increasingly complicated. We are now close to a definitive breaking point because the gap between offer and demand is too wide.

The 19-year-old and his entourage have asked for significant figures, those of a first team player level, which have surprised Milan. Above all, the defender is not enthusiastic about the possibility of playing with Milan Futuro in Serie C because he wants top flight minutes now.

Simic is very popular especially abroad where both Feyenoord and his former club Stuttgart asked for information without however going any deeper, but Anderlecht stepped forward and the Belgian club are about to finalise the agreement with the Serbian defender’s agents.

At present, Milan have not yet received official offers for Simic, who is valued at around €8m, despite knowing that the expiry of his contract in just 12 months certainly does not help to provide much leverage.
