CM: The two crucial factors that are pushing Simic towards leaving Milan

By Oliver Fisher -

Jan-Carlo Simic could well be heading for the exit door because he believes he deserves more than what AC Milan can offer him, a report claims.

As Calciomercato.com report, Simic has a strong personality and this only grew when he scored on his debut at San Siro in Serie A against Monza. He became more and more a part of the first team dressing room and these only raised his hopes for the future.

The renewal of Simic’s contract, expiring in 2025, seemed to be a mere formality last January but then it became increasingly complicated. We are now close to a definitive breaking point because the gap between offer and demand is too wide.

The 19-year-old and his entourage have asked for significant figures, those of a first team player level, which have surprised Milan. Above all, the defender is not enthusiastic about the possibility of playing with Milan Futuro in Serie C because he wants top flight minutes now.

Simic is very popular especially abroad where both Feyenoord and his former club Stuttgart asked for information without however going any deeper, but Anderlecht stepped forward and the Belgian club are about to finalise the agreement with the Serbian defender’s agents.

At present, Milan have not yet received official offers for Simic, who is valued at around €8m, despite knowing that the expiry of his contract in just 12 months certainly does not help to provide much leverage.

  1. Can really say anything on it ‘cuz we dont know what number he is asking for in terms of salary.. but he most def is right to seek first team gametime, he is more than ready, f*ck serie C.

Its a s*it model we have. We buy all these talents for the primavera and then sell them for a tiny profit. With more patience we’d get a bigger profit or even a starter lvl player

    1. Who lacks patience here, Milan or the player?
Milan is trying to keep him and get him to extend, he is the one that wants to leave so he can play, and I don’t blame him.
Best solution would be extension and then a loan to a bottom half serie A team where he will play regularly. But he has to agree to an extension. If he doesn’t extend, Milan has no choice but to sell him for tiny profit, instead of losing him for free next summer.

        1. The player wants to leave because he is IMPATIENT and wants to play.
Milan is trying to keep the player and PATIENTLY bring him up to the first team.
But somehow, Milan are the ones that lack patience.
          😂😂😂
          The sky is blue.
          Nope, it is red.

          1. Obviously it’s Milan who is impatient and doesn’t want to give him gametime.

How the f do you think Atalanta gets 50M defenders? By loaning them to Empoli? Venezia?

Milan is trying to sweet talk the kid into going for a loan somewhere where he is as guaranteed to get gametime as he is if he stays at Milan. It’s pretty obvious Milan has 0 real plans for him. Ffs we are looking to buy a new CB atm.

Simic and his entourage see this and rightfully think he would be better off somewhere else, where a club might value and develop him, not send him around on loans…

Long past are the times where a player is loan around to “get exp” until they’re 23-24. Now when you have a talented teen you play them.
How old was Bastoni when inter started playing him?

Sh*t I’m ranting.. it’s just you’re so clueless man. Again.

          2. it was Pioli’s decision to play the players that were played and he was coaching for his job…Its a no win situation at this point. If you give him a big contract and it turns out in minutes he is lacking, then you have an origi situation. If you don’t offer it, you lose the player…

The bigger point of concern is the relationship with his agent and the club, as it is also Camarda’s agent.

        2. Ignorance combined with arrogance is a great character trait that clueless people possess.
Do you even know what the word impatient means?

“Obviously it’s Milan who is impatient and doesn’t want to give him gametime.”
This is a sentence you wrote.
Milan is impatient because they won’t give him gametime!!😂😂😂

“Long past are the times where a player is loan around to “get exp” until they’re 23-24. Now when you have a talented teen you play them.”
How old was Bastoni when inter started playing him?”

Another proof how clueless you are. The player that you gave here for an example was sent on loan to Atalanta and Parma before he started playing for inter. He was 20 when he started playing for inter after 2 years of loans to “get exp”. You disproved your own nonsense but you are too clueless to even understand that.
Keep ranting though, while the rest of us are “clueless” 🙈

          1. you know all about ignorance combined with arrogance.. with a sprinkle of delusion.

yes Milan is mpatient. like any company they want a young one with 10 years exp on the field.

the player i gave for example was bought for 31M from atalanta then, he was sent on loan sure. inter had aging cbs then. hhhmmmmm still do

          2. @flyingturtle I don’t think that you know what term “impatient” means. Milan by no means are impatient. He’d get some game time like he did last season, esp with Fonseca who loves young players.

This guy is impatient and asking too much for salary yet he lacks exp and has no international experience.

  2. I have a question, so Fonseca likes to use young players when he was at Lille he played Yoro who is a 17 years old centre back and now United paid 50 mil for him, Barcelona played with a 18 years centre back last season. Why Milan didn’t gave him a proper chance to play? When Milan had all the centre backs injured Pioli chose to play Theo CB instead of Simic no wonder he wants to leave, we all know he deserves more than seria C

  3. i can say if he happens to be Real Madrid , Barca PSG or even any top 5 team in the EPL , their management will demand more than the 8m from any interested clubs and managements like the one Milan has will be ready to pay around 10-12m so far he is not Italian… lol

  4. Not a lot to do for Milan here with a year in his contract. Being only 18 and in a position that requires experience to excel, I think he is a bit unpatient. Godspeed

  5. Why he’s so impatient?

Milan had the perfect plan for him.

Sign a few more CBs this summer so that he’s like 8th in the pecking order.

Send him to Serie C this season.

Loan him out another 6 times in 3 seasons (waiting until TRANSFER DEADLINE DAY to give him as little time as possible to settle with his loaned team).

Bring him back when he’s in his mid-20s to be our 6th choice CB (an improvement of 2 places from 5 seasons ago).

If he does show ‘potential’ maybe sign another CB, you know, for ‘depth’ and ‘competition’.

    Loan him out again.

When we have an injury crisis bring him back.

When he comes back and finally establishes himself we…..sign another CB….you know, for ‘depth’ and ‘competition’.

I mean it’s worked out well for Gabbia and all of the other youth products we mismanaged.

    1. Exactly.

How many minutes is he from being of the required standard? Bearing in mind that Thiaw plays and he’s not the finished product and Pavlovic would be signed out of Austria.

It’s not like we are asking any of these players displace Maldini or Nesta.

Spend 20m to 30m instead of being patient and giving the player 1,000 to 2,000 minutes? It’s half a season of playing time.

The irony of Milan’s squad development strategy is that it doesnt want to pay for players who have the minutes but it sees itself as too good for players who dont have the minutes.
