The negotiation between Diego Laxalt and Atalanta goes on. Yesterday’s first encounter between the parties was defined as positive but not enough to close the deal. An agreement on the salary is still missing.
The clubs have already reached an agreement: a €1m loan with a buy-out option set at €12m, which will become an obligation if certain conditions are met. Atalanta have guaranteed the player €1.7m during the first year, same as his current salary.
However, if the clause is exercised, then Atalanta’s proposal is €1.3m per year on a four-year basis. As reported by Calciomercato.com, Laxalt has asked Milan to chip in to cover part of the €1.6m that he would miss out on.
The contacts continue, as the will of all parties is to find a compromise that will lead to the closing of the deal. In the coming days, there will be more updates on the matter, but Laxalt’s future surely won’t be at Milan.
