Baturina showed himself to be a top talent during the two games against Milan and in general this season, with four goals and seven assists to his name playing mostly on the left. On Wednesday though he played up front with Nico Paz, and Cesc Fabregas matched up Allegri’s 3-5-2.
It was an intriguing game in which the young talents shone. Paz put Como ahead for a fourth consecutive game against Milan, then Ardon Jashari played a gorgeous ball over the top for Rafael Leao to equaliser, as part of a performance that gained him big plaudits.
After the 1-1 draw at San Siro, Baturina spoke to DAZN not only to talk about the match against the Rossoneri, but also about facing his compatriot Modric again. MilanNews relayed what he had to say.
Playing against Modric is always special for a Croatian, ight?
“What can I say about Luka? We’re friends through the national team. It’s a dream to play with and against him. I’m happy he’s doing so well with Milan. It’s a huge achievement to play against him.”
Did he give you his shirt?
“No, he gave it to me in the first leg and now he’s given it to Smolcic. If Milan can do more, we’ll all be happier.”
