AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli’s decision to rotate the starting line-up for the game against Cremonese has been called into question.

Corriere della Sera (via MilanNews) writes that while it is true that the Rossoneri have had to do without several injured or suspended players, it was fair to expect more from Pioli’s side as they failed to even score against a side that had just six points from their opening 13 games with no wins.
The Milan coach opted for a bit of a rotation with Rafael Leao and Pierre Kalulu starting on the bench, entrusting Ante Rebic and Malick Thiaw from the first minute, but this choice did not pay off as the multiple changes in the second half show.
It is not the first time that Pioli has made alterations from what would be considered his ‘first choice’ starting XI, and more often than not it has resulted in a sub-par performance.
