CorSport: Versatile Arsenal defender open to Italy move as Milan ready new attempt

AC Milan have once again started looking into the potential signing of Jakub Kiwior, a report claims, as they believe that he could fix two problems at once.

As Corriere dello Sport (via PianetaMilan) report this morning, Milan were interested in signing Kiwior when he was at Spezia and that admiration has not gone away, even when he left Serie A in favour of a move to the Premier League.

Kiwior departed Spezia in January 2023 to move to Arsenal for just short of €20m and though he might have found starts difficult to come by, he got used to playing for a top club that have been fighting for the title in each of the last couple of seasons.

Milan, who had tried to sign Kiwior in the 2024 winter transfer window, are now expected to try again for the Poland international, who earns a salary of €2.5m net per season which is a figure that falls within the economic parameters set by the club.

It remains to be understood, however, how much the Londoners will want in terms of a transfer fee and via what formula they would let him leave. Kiwior is liked because he can play left-back as well as centre-back, while the player would willingly return to play in Italy.
