AC Milan have not conceded in their last two games and the feeling is that the new three-man defence is serving its purpose, a report claims.

Today’s edition of Corriere dello Sport (via PianetaMilan) talks about Milan and the new tactical structure. After the bad month of January where the Rossoneri conceded 15 goals in six league matches, plus the three conceded in the Supercoppa final, Stefano Pioli decided to make a change.
He decided to move away from the 4-2-3-1 formation that allowed Milan to win the Scudetto last season and he opted for a three-man back line that offers a bit more protection for Ciprian Tatarusanu.
It seems to already be bearing fruit as the one goal conceded in the last three games shows, as well as the win against Tottenham. Kalulu, Kjaer and Thiaw bring a mix of youth and experience as the Danish centre-back neutralised Kane, however he is not expected to be a regular starter.
Fikayo Tomori is recovering from an injury that kept him out for the last few games and it remains to be seen if he will be there tomorrow evening when Milan face Monza.
