CorSport: Milan intend to activate clause in Pioli’s contract – meeting scheduled

Stefano Pioli has done a tremendous job since he arrived at AC Milan back in 2019 and a renewal is now in the pipeline for the manager. Only the ‘yes’ of the man himself is missing, a report claims.

Pioli’s contract is due to expire in June 2023 but Milan have no intention of letting him leave. As reported by Corriere Dello Sport (via MilanNews), there is a one-year extension clause in the contract that Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara will activate.

All they need to complete the renewal until 2024 is the ‘yes’ of Pioli, which is why they have scheduled a meeting with the manager. It will take place at Casa Milan soon, but for now the focus is on the final five games before the World Cup break.

Tonight, Milan will face Torino away from home and it’s a very important game, seeing as all of the Rossoneri’s rivals won yesterday. It’s crucial to keep up with Napoli, who certainly are on a roll at the moment.
