Today’s edition of Corriere dello Sport (via PianetaMilan) talks about the Milan’s interest in Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek. The two sides have done plenty of business before, and the Rossoneri management know they could bolster their squad with some players no longer deemed crucial to Chelsea’s project.

Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara would like to sign a midfielder who is immediately ready to give a hand to Sandro Tonali, Ismael Bennacer and Rade Krunic and one who can operate in a 4-2-3-1 system.

The England international – who has a contract until 30 June 2024 – will however have to accept a significant reduction in salary compared to the €7m net per season he currently receives with the Blues in order to move to the Rossoneri.

He would find Fikayo Tomori, a player he knows well from their time together, having both come through the Cobham academy.
