CorSport: Milan, Inter and Juventus among clubs to approach €87m Man Utd defender

AC Milan are among five Serie A clubs who have made an approach over Manchester United defender Harry Maguire, a report claims.

Today’s edition of Corriere dello Sport (via SportWitness) writes about players who could move from England to Serie A given that the FIGC have now ruled that British players count as EU and thus do not take up a non-EU spot.

Maguire can leave Old Trafford but United might well find it difficult to do a deal with another Premier League club. However, the former Leicester City man has ‘been approached’ by several Serie A sides lately.

Milan are listed among the interested sides, as are Napoli, Roma, Juventus and Inter. The Red Devils might well consider ‘the usual’ transfer formula that Serie A sides like when signing cast-offs from England, which is a loan with option to buy.

Maguire is under contract until 2025 but is not expected to be a regular starter next season and lost the captaincy. United paid €87m to sign him back in 2019.
