Ruben Loftus-Cheek is a concrete target for AC Milan in their pursuit of a new central midfielder and discussions are underway between the clubs, a report claims.

According to Corriere dello Sport (via PianetaMilan), Loftus-Cheek could take the second non-EU spot for the 2023-24 season with the other being occupied by Daichi Kamada, who should join on a free transfer. Devis Vasquez would then be sold.
Chelsea are now in the position of having to sell off some players to thin out their huge squad after a disappointing season and Loftus-Cheek is among those who can depart, with Milan strongly interested.
Talks between Chelsea and Milan for the Englishman have started, but an economic agreement will need to be found. The Rossoneri, for their part, would like to spend less than €20m to sign him by virtue of the fact that his contract expires on 30 June 2024.
Chelsea on the other hand are looking for a bit more to sell. Either way, it would certainly not be the first deal that Chelsea and Milan completed after the likes of Tiemoue Bakayoko, Fikayo Tomori and Olivier Giroud.
