AC Milan are continuing to keep a number of different tracks open as they look to reinforce their attack ahead of the new season, a report claims.
Corriere dello Sport (via MilanNews) report that Charles De Ketelaere of Club Brugge is the number one target for the Milan management but the negotiation could be more complicated than expected, with interest from the Premier League having emerged.
Brugge do not want to sell this summer because in all likelihood they will already lose Noa Lang and they believe they can earn even more than the current €40m asking price in the future if they hang onto him. Should Milan manage to agree a deal with the Belgian club, there shouldn’t be too many problems.
De Ketelaere is a pure attacking midfielder but Lang – a natural left winger – is also a target for Milan because they think he could adapt to the role of playmaker, and like his partner he has European experience with both his club and the Dutch national team. He would cost about €20m.
Another alternative that has come back in fashion in the last few hours is Hamed Junior Traorè of Sassuolo. The 22-year-old Ivorian now knows the Italian league well but has less experience in European competitions.
