Daily Mail: Spurs firm on €25m demands for Mourinho favourite as Milan try for discount

AC Milan will not be able to get Spurs defender Serge Aurier for the fee they originally had in mind, according to a report.

Both Sky Italia and Calciomercato.com reporter Fabrizio Romano have reported that Serge Aurier is a target of the Milan management to reinforce the right side of the defence, with the ground having been probed over a deal.

Maldini revealed he has had talks with the player’s representatives in the past during his pre-match interview on Saturday night, and The Guardian confirmed on Monday night that negotiations are underway.

According to the Daily Mail though, Milan will have to pay more than the €15m they had in mind as Spurs will in fact demand €25m to let the 27-year-old depart in the summer window.

The Ivorian – who has made 83 appearances for Spurs across all competitions with 42 of those coming in 2019-20 – has just under two years left to run on his current deal.

The report adds that Milan are trying to negotiate a fee of around €13-14m, but Spurs chairman Daniel Levy will not sell for below what he deems to be a fair choice.
