Al-Hilal have accelerated to the finish line for Theo Hernandez, presenting a very rich offer to both the player and the club. As such, the Frenchman is expected to leave Milan after six years at the club, bringing to an end a rollercoaster adventure.
What that means is that Milan need a new starting left-back. While Alex Jimenez and Davide Bartesaghi can fill in there, several reliable sources have confirmed that Igli Tare plans to give Massimiliano Allegri a new starting player for the left side of the defence.
De Cuyper: Agreement found
Now, Nicolo Schira has provided an update on Milan’s pursuit of a left-back. He claimed that Brighton have offered €18m to Club Brugge to sign De Cuyper, but the Belgian is ‘waiting for Milan’ which would be his preferred move.
Indeed, De Cuyper is ‘one of Milan’s main targets to replace Theo Hernandez’, heading for Saudi Arabia as mentioned above. There is an agreement in principle between Milan and De Cuyper for a contract until 2029 with an option until 2030.
As a reminder, Jashari is also believed to be holding out for a move to the Rossoneri too, so could a double deal be in the offing?
