As has been reported by Tuttosport today (via Milan News), the Rossoneri are very unlikely to spend the necessary money to bring Ziyech in now that there is less of a tactical need.
Club Brugge’s De Ketelaere was the primary target for the attacking trio behind the striker and now it seems a matter of days until he is unveiled as a new Milan player to the fans.
Alongside the negotiations for the Belgian, there had been repeated talk of a loan deal with an option to buy for Ziyech but his wages were always going to be a stumbling block.
The only situation now in which Milan could reopen the discussion for the Moroccan would be if an offer came in for Alexis Saelemaekers which they could not refuse.
