Libero: De Ketelaere in search of redemption after disappointing few months

One of the key missions that AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli faces in 2023 is to get Charles De Ketelaere in good form, a report claims.

This morning’s edition of Libero (via MilanNews) has dedicated a column to De Ketelaere titled ‘Operation Redemption’. The Belgian should, all being well, return to the field for the Rossoneri on 4 January in Salerno when the season gets back underway.

De Ketelaere is ready to try and prove his worth at Milan and recover after both a disappointing first half of the season his national team’s disastrous World Cup in which they were dumped out in the group stages.

Milan’s attack could well be a bit short on options heading into the new year given that Zlatan Ibrahimovic has not yet recovered, Junior Messias has so far missed friendlies, Divock Origi now has a flexor issue and Olivier Giroud will arrive back late from the World Cup, so getting De Ketelaere in a groove of sorts would certainly be beneficial.
