From Belgium: De Ketelaere to skip Super Cup against Gent as Milan move nears

Charles De Ketelaere is getting closer to moving to AC Milan and is even being left out of match action, according to reports from Belgium.

The newspaper Het Nieuwsblad (via MilanNews) explains that the Rossoneri are becoming an increasingly concrete option for the 21-year-old attacking midfielder, who is at the preseason training camp with Club Brugge but did not participate in their first friendly match against Copenhagen.

The first offer from Milan was rejected, but the management are ready to raise the bid in order to get closer to what Brugge are asking for. De Ketelaere is ‘getting closer and closer’ to joining Milan, and the decision not to play friendlies (like the 4-2 loss to Copenhagen over the weekend) is a mutual agreement with head coach Carl Hoefkens as he does not want to take risks.

Meanwhile, Het Laatste Nieuws (via MilanNews) report that De Ketelaere is not likely take part in the next friendly against Utrecht and even the Belgian Super Cup game against Gent scheduled for Sunday, because an important acceleration is expected this week regarding his move to Milan.
