Milan are having a difficult summer; they need to hire a replacement manager after sacking Allegri. However, they also need to sort out his future, too. Indeed, the Italian is still under contract with the club. So, a settlement needs to be agreed upon so that he can move on.
Considering the suggestions that it may need to go to court, all parties probably want to avoid this. Finding a solution would surely be the preferred option instead. Doing that, though, is easier said than done.
De Laurentiis requests Ibrahimovic meeting
Now, Il Mattino reports that there could be advancements made in America shortly, thanks to De Laurentiis and Zlatan Ibrahimovic both being in the States for the World Cup, as Calciomercato.com relays.
Reports have suggested that the Swede is the major opposition to the move, so perhaps this could settle things somewhat.
The Napoli president has already spoken to Paolo Scaroni about the matter and the Italian offered him some reassurances about the situation. However, no movement has been made yet. So, he wants to go higher up and speak to Ibrahimovic.
The pair apparently have an ‘excellent’ relationship, so perhaps they will find a middle ground. It remains to be seen, though.
