After a very strong season with 81 points claimed in 38 games, Frosinone secured direct promotion to Serie A, finishing just one point behind the champions Venezia. Naturally, they are now looking to bolster their squad, knowing that it will be very different from the second tier.
As often tends to be the case, newly-promoted sides go looking for youngsters at big clubs that they can bring in on loan. This is something that the big clubs appreciate too, seeing as some of their academy products can get consistent playing time in the top tier.
Talks are underway
According to Nico Schira, one of the youngsters that Frosinone have set their sights on is Kevin Zeroli. The interest is actually concrete too, as they have opened talks with the entourage of the player and Milan.
While Zeroli has often been praised as one of the more interesting players to come through the Milan ranks, a move seems very likely. Indeed, he wasn’t included in the squad for the pre-season, despite several other youngsters being there.
He’s currently training with the Futuro and for a season in Serie D, as such, which is way below his level. If Frosinone decide to deepen the talks, then there should be optimism that a deal can be closed.
