The André saga already seems to have descended into somewhat of a farce. Milan had essentially agreed a deal, and all the documents required to be signed were signed, in their eyes at least. However, the president of Corinthians stepped in and is making matters difficult.

He is trying to block things at the last minute by asking for more money, because of backlash from fans. As a result, Milan might end up walking away from the talks entirely, but there was also talk of legal action involving FIFA.

Fabrizio Romano tweeted the following: “AC Milan have no plans to improve their bid for André after Corinthians initially accepted the proposal for 2006 born midfielder. Milan have been clear: deal to be done soon at their conditions or it can really collapse.”

Underneath is a reply from André’s team-mate Memphis Depay, which reads: “André is one of the biggest talents I have seen so far in my career… Many clubs will come for our young star. So I hope we don’t rush him for the quick money. He’s a big bank player honestly.”

Earlier today, Fabrizio Romano spoke of there being an ultimatum on the part of the Milan directors, who expect an answer in the next few days regarding whether or not they can sign the teenager.
