With Sergio Conceicao heading out of the door, Milan need to sort his replacement as soon as possible. Now, with a sporting director in place, this becomes much easier. However, it does not bring guarantees.
For example, having Igli Tare in place does not mean X or Y will definitely arrive.
So, the situation must be approached with realism, and of course, a bit of optimism, which is how the Rossoneri are feeling with the Vincenzo Italiano situation, more so after a meeting yesterday, according to Gianluca Di Marzio, via Milan News.
Many would see alarms at the coach meeting with his current club to discuss a renewal, however, the journalist states that it was only an ‘initial preliminary meeting’ to discuss the next steps and the project.
What is a worry is the fact that he states that both parties want to continue together. But, it is not all doom and gloom. Largely because the Diavolo are actually yet to make a move, if their presence is made known, then things would imaginably change.
A final decision has not been made by the Coppa Italia winner. If it had, the coach would have already renewed with the Rossoblu. Instead, it seems that the coach is stalling, waiting to see what Milan will table.
It could be as early as next week for Tare to call, and when the Rossoneri do, it is difficult to say no…
