AC Milan remain hopeful of making Vincenzo Italiano their next head coach, and there is a feeling of hope emerging.
With Sergio Conceicao heading out of the door, Milan need to sort his replacement as soon as possible. Now, with a sporting director in place, this becomes much easier. However, it does not bring guarantees.

For example, having Igli Tare in place does not mean X or Y will definitely arrive.
So, the situation must be approached with realism, and of course, a bit of optimism, which is how the Rossoneri are feeling with the Vincenzo Italiano situation, more so after a meeting yesterday, according to Gianluca Di Marzio, via Milan News.
Many would see alarms at the coach meeting with his current club to discuss a renewal, however, the journalist states that it was only an ‘initial preliminary meeting’ to discuss the next steps and the project.
What is a worry is the fact that he states that both parties want to continue together. But, it is not all doom and gloom. Largely because the Diavolo are actually yet to make a move, if their presence is made known, then things would imaginably change.
A final decision has not been made by the Coppa Italia winner. If it had, the coach would have already renewed with the Rossoblu. Instead, it seems that the coach is stalling, waiting to see what Milan will table.
It could be as early as next week for Tare to call, and when the Rossoneri do, it is difficult to say no…

Reminds me of De Zerbi situation…
The same 🗑️ media was continuously stated that Milan ‘is dreaming’ about De Zerbi but he has high release clause blablablahh… Eventually, Milan board wasn’t even interested in him lol
Italiano is the new Motta, remember how Motta and Juve were going to be title favourites because kids online cant think of anything more complex?
i still think both Motta and Italiano are fine coaches. But the assessment should be on the coach entire body of work. Not just one game or one season. I’d be more incline on Motta. He did bad at Juve, but now we know he got experience at a big club. I just feel we got no direction. Hopefully Tare/whoever joins and set some goals and direction.
Give me arguments comparing Italiano and Motta. Not just Bologna but overall.
Italiano took Spezia to Serie A in his first season for the first time in club’s history and managed to keep them there for the second. He took Fiorentina to two consecutive Conference League finals. In 2023 he took Fiorentina to Coppa final and lost against Inter. Bologna sold Zirkzee and Calafiori last summer, two pillars of Motta’s team, and he still managed to take them to CL spots while winning Coppa in his first season.
No one said he’s going to be a hit. Might as well be another failure, but currently, numbers speak in his favour. Tell me what Pioli won before Milan?
You talk out of your whinny a** all the time. Try with constructive arguments if it’s not too complex for you.
Yeah this “never been at a big club thing is a little overstated.” Inzaghi was never at a big club before inter, Slot is a more recent example and wasn’t Sacchi a youth coach before Milan?
LOL Retracting now, whole last year I’ve seen the bullsh*t that Motta is the messiah and he will win at whatever club he goes next, why backtrack now? Have some balls to stick to your original comments
“He still managed to take them to CL spots” are you high? Bologna’s ceiling is 7th this season, do you even watch them play? Their style isnt fit for our team in any way shape or form unless you are saying sell everyone and buy a new team for this bald magician.
Motta started clashing with senior players at Juve for no reason… He thought he was big enough to handle that dressing room.
I still think he is a good coach. He needs to be a bit humble in his next job
