There is a lot of optimism regarding the renewal of Rafael Leao with a signature expected soon on his contract, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.

Speaking on Sky, Di Marzio (via MilanNews) spoke about the situation relating to his renewal and confirmed our previous report that the signature on the new contract should come soon, with a full agreement having ‘never been so close’ as in the last few days.
It is clear that now the club has its eyes on tomorrow night’s match as is normal, but in recent days there have been some very positive meetings and therefore after the match – from Thursday onwards – the decisive moment could come.
It’s just a matter of time and then Leao will renew, as Di Marzio admits he ‘never had any doubts, even in the most difficult moments’ because Leao’s will to stay and Milan’s to please him was an important starting point.
There were previous situations that had to be resolved, such as Sporting CP’s, but all the parties involved have worked and are working to resolve the last details so that Leao can renew with Milan very soon.
