Di Marzio: Milan want to change terms and sign Real Madrid full-back permanently

AC Milan want to sign Alex Jimenez on a permanent basis from Real Madrid and they are at work to get a better deal, according to a report.

Jimenez was one of Pioli’s surprise choices in the Coppa Italia against Cagliari and he took his chance very well, playing at left-back. When Alessandro Florenzi got injured during yesterday’s win over Empoli, he was called upon again.

For this reason, Gianluca Di Marzio reports that Milan are already working on his permanent signing from Real Madrid, the club that he arrived from in the summer on an initial loan deal.

The management like the player very much and Pioli himself has a lot of faith in the 18-year-old, who was preferred to Davide Bartesaghi and Jan-Carlo Simic against Empoli after Florenzi was forced off in the second half.

The agreement with Real Madrid is currently clear, because it includes a €5m option to buy in Milan’s favour. However, the Rossoneri would like to change the terms of the agreement.

The intention would be to pay less than €5m but do so immediately, and in exchange they would provide a series of bonuses that would allow Real Madrid to collect more than the initial amount agreed. Of course, these bonuses would be triggered in the event that Jimenez were to grow and play many matches.

Meanwhile, Di Marzio adds an important note: the player is happy to stay in Milan, he feels great and is pushing to stay at a club that he considers to be the ‘ideal’ one for his growth.
