Before Strahinja Pavlovic had found himself at AC Milan, he was once courted by another Serie A side: Lazio. Now, five years on from their interest, an investigation is about to occur.

Since joining Milan, Pavlovic has been quite hit and miss. The Serbian was a bright light in a poor defence in the season’s opening, but since then it has been difficult for him to impress, and this has led to a fluctuation of minutes.

With that said though, against Slovan Bratislava and Sassuolo he showed signs closer to the season’s opening rather than games where he has had blunders.

The story about him today does not regard his performance against the Neroverdi, though. Instead, it involves his proposed move to Lazio in 2019. According to Calcio e Finanza, the FIGC are set to investigate comments allegedly made by Lazio Doctor Ivo Pulcini.

The doctor stated that the Serbian defender was not able to move to Serie A and Lazio due to some ‘cardiac abnormalities’, despite three tests but the results were all negative, and the defender stayed at Partizan rather than moving to Italy.

Now, prosecutor Giuseppe Chine has opened a file about the case, and he will hear Pulcini in the days to come.
