Mike Maignan’s return to full training stole the headlines yesterday, but Alessandro Florenzi was alongside him and that also marks a significant return.

This morning’s edition of Corriere dello Sport (via PianetaMilan) confirms that Florenzi has now fully recovered and after a couple of days doing part training with the squad, he did the entire session with the team yesterday at Milanello.
That means the former Roma man back at Stefano Pioli’s disposal almost six months after the injury to the proximal tendon of the hamstring in his left thigh – which was back on August 30 last year in the 0-0 draw against Sassuolo – which required surgery in Finland.
Pioli will decide whether Florenzi will be part of the list of players called up for Milan’s home game against Atalanta on Sunday or if the match after against Fiorentina is more realistic, but either way the Milan boss has another experienced leader back.
