Florenzi previews ‘difficult’ clash against Verona: “I’m ready to help the team”

Alessandro Florenzi is back in the Milan squad after missing about a month due to a knee injury. He will be on the bench for tonight’s clash against Verona and he has shared his thoughts on the task.

The right-back underwent knee surgery last month and he returned to training with the team this week. Stefano Pioli decided to call up the veteran for this game and he will be on the bench, ready to help the team.

While some will think that he’s only there for moral support, Florenzi has insisted that he’s now fully recovered in an interview with MilanTV a few minutes ago (via MilanNews). He also talked about what should be a difficult game.

How are you?

“I’m fine, I’m ready to help the team. It will be difficult, we want to achieve the desired result at all costs.”

How did you prepare?

“The team has prepared itself in the best way, it will be a tough game, to be played until the 90th minute. We know their strengths and how to attack them.”

On Verona and Caprari…

“They will rightly play their game, they have a coach who pushes them to give their best and that’s right. Caprari is a great guy and we spent many good times together. He is a very strong player, he is doing very well, we hope that tonight he will miss the goal and score in the next round (laughs).”

Milan are currently one point behind city rivals Inter and need at least a draw to retake the lead in the standings. The feeling is that a draw isn’t an option, though, as the Rossoneri want to save that cushion for later.
