Footmercato: Milan make Arsenal defender ‘a priority’ with new attempt scheduled

One of the priorities for AC Milan this summer is to reinforce the defence, having conceded too many goals in the 2023-24 season. According to a report, an old target has re-appeared on the Rossoneri’s radar, namely Jakub Kiwior.

Milan have been following Kiwior since his time at Spezia and tried to sign him before he joined Arsenal. They have also tried to sign him multiple times from the Gunners, but the latter have always blocked a potential move.

According to FootMercato, the 24-year-old is now back on the Rossoneri’s radar as he’s considered to be ‘a priority’ for this summer. Kiwior still has a contract until 2028 so Arsenal would have to be open to a departure, which Mlan expected to probe the ground very soon.

The Polish international has mainly played as a left-back for Arsenal but those who remember his Serie A days will know that he’s a good centre-back too. For Milan, it could be the perfect reinforcement as they also need someone to cover for Theo Hernandez in some games.

It remains to be seen if these links will be confirmed by the Italian media, but it wouldn’t be surprising given Milan’s past interest in the player.
