GdS: AC Milan remain in pole for €25m-rated defender; Barcelona’s two demands

As the January transfer window is just around the corner, AC Milan have identified Jean-Clair Todibo as the right profile to strengthen the defence. In fact, contacts with Barcelona have reportedly been underway for several days.

However, reaching an agreement won’t be easy, as Gazzetta Dello Sport reports (via MilanNews.it). The most likely solutions remains a loan with an obligation to buy, but even with this formula, the parties are struggling to agree.

Per the newspaper, Barcelona value the defender at €25m. Not only that, but the Catalan side also want a buy-back clause in the contract. Milan, on the other hand, are only willing to go as far as offering them a first-refusal right.

Although the negotiations are far from done, Todibo is destined to leave Barcelona in January. In addition to the Rossoneri, Man Utd are also interested in the 19-year-old. However, the side of Boban and Maldini remain in pole position.
