GdS: Baresi’s new role at Milan starts tomorrow – increased responsibilities

Franco Baresi has been given more responsibilities and will start his new role within the club tomorrow, as AC Milan will be back at Milanello for the start of the pre-season. In fact, the legend will be much more visible.

After working as a club ambassador for several years, Baresi was promoted to vice president of Milan back in 2021. Given the recent change in management, Giorgio Furlani and his colleagues have agreed to give the 63-year-old even more responsibilities.

According to today’s edition of Gazzetta Dello Sport (via SempreMilan), he will not be the new club manager of the club. He will, however, be much more visible next season. For example, he will be entrusted with some of the pre-match interviews which last season were done by either Stefano Pioli or Maldini/Massara.

He will not be at Milanello every day to speak to the players, but his presence will still increase and he will be the main symbol of ‘Milanism’, as the newspaper explains it. Tomorrow, he will be present for the Raduno at the training ground and will surely be interviewed.
