Ismael Bennacer has suffered a knock during training in the United States and is currently training separately, according to a report. In addition to this, two of the youngsters have left the squad to join Milan Futuro instead.
Bennacer has featured in all three friendlies this pre-season, starting two of them, and he was headed for a certain starting spot against Barcelona as well. However, as reported by Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews), he suffered a minor knock in training recently and thus trained separately yesterday.
It’s nothing serious for the Algerian, the newspaper adds, but it remains to be seen if he will play from the first minute against Barcelona. In addition to this, the youngsters Adam Bakoune and Marco Nasti have returned to Italy to join Daniele Bonera’s Milan Futuro side.
The game against Barcelona is scheduled for Tuesday evening (local time) and after winning the first two US friendlies, Paulo Fonseca will be looking to make it 3/3. It would certainly help the Rossoneri head into the new season with great confidence.
Hopefully, it truly isn’t anything serious for Bennacer as Milan currently don’t have a proper replacement in the squad, still negotiating with Monaco over Youssouf Fofana.
